Pryor Main Street is a non-profit organization here to LOVE PRYOR into the next phase of our community!! But love don’t come cheap!
Introducing our new brand LoveLocal brought to you from the marriage of the nostalgia of Pryor Creek and the vision of what Pryor Creek is becoming. When you shop from the LoveLocal brand, you are supporting a small business, downtown revitalization, a new memory for a family and bringing the community together.
MYTH BUSTER #1 - “Why should I give to Pryor Main Street? Doesn’t the city pay for everything?” We are NOT a department in city of Pryor. We are a separate non-profit organization. With that being said, we partner with the city in many ways and we work together for the betterment of downtown Pryor. SO if you have a road complaint or wondering why the city can do a “streetscape project” but not a new swimming pool it’s because it’s Pryor Main Street spearheading that initiative through fundraisers and grants.
MYTH BUSTER #2 - “All Pryor Main Street does is throw events” I wish! Actually events are only 20% of what we do. The other 80% includes but is not limited to small business promotion (marketing, graphic design, networking, and any other needs), facade grants, economic development, historical preservation, community communications, grant writing and working through the process of a downtown esthetic revitalization!
MYTH BUSTER #3 - “You have to be a business downtown to be a Main Street Partner.” Nope! Not true! We partner with businesses and individuals who see the mission and want to be a part of helping us execute big plans! In fact, we have partners out of the downtown district and even outside of Pryor! There are certain limitations to facade assistance we can provide, but can still partner with those outside the district!
We are better together and the unity of our community is what will propel us forward igniting change, excitement and opportunities for our downtown corridor!
