Have you wondered what all Main Street does and how we get it all done? Come out to our Volunteer Training where we will debut our official 2023 Events Calendar and how you can get involved and help! We will have four committees looking for volunteers! Here’s a brief breakdown of each committee:
DESIGN: Supports our community’s transformation by enhancing the physical and visual elements of downtown while capitalizing on the unique assets that set the commercial district apart! Updating and maintaining the planters, mural tour, facade grants, Christmas tree, clean up days and more!
ORGANIZATION: Involves creating a strong foundation for a sustainable revitalization effort, including cultivating partnerships, community involvement, and resources for the downtown district. Some things include fundraisers, trainings, communication and more
PROMOTION: Positions the downtown or commercial district as the center of the community and hub of economic activity, while creating a positive image that showcases a community’s unique characteristics such events as Third Thursdays, shopping promotions and more!
ECONOMIC VITALITY: Focuses on capital, incentives, and other economic and financial tools to assist new and existing businesses, catalyze property development, and create a supportive environment for the scores of entrepreneurs and innovators that drive local economies. They maintain the building inventory, welcome packet for new businesses, info material, parking studies, traffic count and more!
